Top Five Things You Need To Know About Window 8 After Installation As A Beginner

Are you New to Window 8 on your Personal Computer?

If yes, you may be somehow confused about the new interface and features on window 8.
The first thing you see is the start screen with a great looking “live” title. This is the new window 8 user interface, and it comes with amazing and great features. Note that it is designed for touch screens; it’s very
easy to use and master without the touch capability.

These are the first five things you need to know, it will get you started on window 8.
1.     Bringing up the Charms
i.   Get used to bring up menu options called Charms from the start screen.
ii.  Drag your mouse to either the right bottom or right top of your screen, and the Charms   will
     appear.
iii.  Move the mouse down to select Charms that you preferred.
Once you have mastered bringing the Charms up, you are ready to get answers to some of your questions.

2.     Locating  Window 8 Desktop Area
The desktop can be found on the bottom left title of your start window. If you installed window 8 on window 7, Note: that all of your old icons will automatically appear there; also note, when you are in the desktop you can get back to start screen by bringing up the Charms and select start.

You can quickly move back and forth from the start screen to the desktop by pressing the window key.

3.     Where is Control Panel in Window 8?
This is a serious question that people ask. I recommend you should find and put it on desktop, start window or both.

Steps to find your Control Panel
i.                    Make the Charms visible by dragging your mouse to the bottom or top corner of your screen.
ii.                  Select the search Charm.
iii.                Type in Control Panel (Note: as you type, the programs will show up on your screen).

v.                 Select “Pin to Start” (Pin to, mean send to).
vi.               Right click on Control Panel again and select Pin to Taskbar.
By now I hope you understand the word “Pin” on your window 8.

Your Control Panel will be easily accessible from your desktop or task-bar. This is how you will be creating shortcuts by search the program name and pin to anywhere you intend.

4.     How can I Close an Application on Window 8?
Closing running application on window 8 is tricky. You need to put your mouse towards the middle of the top on the screen, and the hand icon appears. Now, dray the hand icon down to the bottom of the screen, and the application will close.
