What is computer hacking?

Computer hacking can be defined as a malicious act. Computer hacker can seize the right from the rightful owner of a computer. Hacker is an expert in programming language who eventually sees hacking as a real life application of their individual skills.

Computer hacking has become a business amongst the hackers in which they ready for hacking computers or website in order to request for payment before they do release to the owner. In fact, Nintendo recently loss a huge account of $975 million due to privacy and Microsoft had lost an estimated $900 million in five years and some months.

I observed that not only the giant are the target of hackers, including individuals are not safe. These include stealing personal information and spying victim activities.

Note: hacker can get you secret files from your computer or website and destroy them.

Last year in Nigeria, three Federal Government websites was recorded hacked. Earlier in December 2012, Oyo State Government website was also hacked.

These hackers cannot be identifying by face but by names. The hacked website but later released are:

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), National Examination Council (NECO), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In this case, anybody can be hacked, be secure and protect all your files from been hacked.

What will I do to protect my files from hacking?

As we all know that prevention is better than cure. I am going to introduce you to some basic tips to save your computer and data from hackers.

1.      You need antivirus software.

Antivirus software is one the best tool for your computer and data protection. Antivirus software are protecting tool that catches any suspicious threat before it react on your computer.

Antivirus can prevent your computer from viruses, malware or worm and cover your data ports from malwares.

Nowadays, antivirus software is completely good to solve any virus or malware issue automatically. I advise you to go for the best and make sure that you scan your system at least twice in a week.

·     Avast Antivirus

These are example of tools to protect your computer from been hacked.

2.      Install Anti Spyware Software

What is a spyware?

A spyware is a self-installing software that enables a user to obtain convert secret information about someone’s computer activities by transmitting data covertly from their computer.

Spyware are hacker’s tool, not only for collection of information, also control the user by installing additional software and redirect links of web browsers.

Anti-spyware software is designed to save your computer ROM hackers. They also detect and delete spyware and prevent automatic installations.

I recommend spyweeper to guarantee a spyware free computer.

3.            Activate Firewall

Some computer user did not know the uses of firewall.

What is a firewall?

A firewall is a set of program located at the system network gateway server that protects a private network from unauthorized access from other networks. A firewall protects your computer from hackers. It keeps your data and information safe from unwanted intruders.

4.         Email Security

Email is one of the leading hacker’s tools. Hackers transmit malicious software to your computer through email.

You must be extra careful with email you received never give out your email address to website that you don’t know their source. Do not open an attachment on your email without knowing the sender.

Nowadays, Yahoo! Gmail and others are really doing there very best to ensure maximum safety on emails.

5.      Avoid Key-blogging software

Nowadays, I found out that some people are using software like PayPal money added, all these are fakes, and the software is key-blogging. It was designed to deceive and scam. This is used for hacking individual PayPal account. Don’t be a victim; you cannot add a fund through software. This is not possible. This software is used for collecting email address and password of your PayPal.

6.      Internet Security

Be very careful while surfing the Internet, In order to protect your computer from hackers. Be secure. Another great tip is that: avoid visiting hacker-controlled sites usually committed to porn, free download and online gaming. This is how hackers are tricking people online with those things. Make you visit a well know website. Lastly, never ignore a security warning about a website on your computer.
