How to Use Different Data Plan on Blackberry Phones

Today I bring my readers a hot tutorial on how to use blackberry phone to browse with any network data buddle or (Money on your phone) without BIS subscription. Because, not all blackberry users can afford the price of BIS subscriptions. These tips will help you to browse with your blackberry whenever you want with

either your balance or data bundle (megabyte).

This is highly dedicated to all Nigerians. My advice to you, migrate to MTN pulse if you are using MTN by press *450# on phone easily. You will be given 10MB every week you recharge N100 or dial *123*4# for preferred cheap data plan. Other networks provider has their various internet data plan.

First you have to configure your blackberry phone in other to specify your network you are using such as GLO, MTN, AIRTEL or ETISALAT. These are the network provider SIM card that you can use to browse or access the internet.

Note: Every network provider has its own manual internet profile settings.

BELOW ARE MANUAL PROFILE SETTINGS OF NETWORK PROVIDER.

ETISALAT SETTINGS

Profile name: ETISALAT or any name

Username: wap or blank

Password: wap or blank

APN: etisalat

I.P Address: 10.71.175.5

Port: 8080

MTN SETTINGS

Profile name: MTN NG or any name

Username: web

Password: web

APN: web.gprs.mtnnigria.net

I.P Address: 10.199.212.2

Port: 8080

GLO SETTINGS

Profile name: GLO or any name

Username: wap

Password: wap

APN: glowap

I.P Address: 10.100.114.144

Port: 3130

AIRTEL SETTINGS

Profile name: AIRTEL NG or any name

Username: internet

Password: internet

APN: internet.ng.zain.com or internet.ng.airtel.com

I.P Address: 172.18.254.5

Port: 8080

Note: These are default manual settings

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW TO CONFIGURE YOUR BLACKBERRY

1.     On your blackberry phone press “MENU” locate “options”

2. 

Click on “Options” and goto “Advanced Options”

3.    
Select “Browser Push”

4.     Scroll down and edit “Service load, Service Indication and Other Messages” IP Hosts from Allow all to Allow specific and enter the IP address of network you want to use like MTN 10.199.212.2, into the specific column.

5.     Save your settings. Go to back to “Advance Options” and select “TCP/IP”.  Tick on APN Settings Enable and APN Authentication Enable. Input web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net and username and password: web.  Edit as below for MTN.

Save your settings.  You are done. You can now browse with your blackberry phone with megabyte or your account balance.

Note: You cannot your use Application World. Others are work well. Such as web browser, Opera, Ucweb, 2go application.
